Typical uses are; Intake Gaskets, Fuel System Gaskets, Timing Cover Gaskets, etc.  The beater addition method is used to produce these homogenous products in large rolls which are then cut to suit the application.

Buna-N
Buna-N is standard Nitrile rubber typically black in color. It has excellent resistance to oil, most fuels, water and alcohol. Nitrile also has good resistance to acids and bases, except those with a strong oxidizing effect. Nitrile rubber is the most commonly used for O-rings and other sealing devices.

Cloth Inserted Rubbers
Rubber sheet with fabric impregnated in the rubber. Cloth inserted sheet material adds stability to bolted joints and reduces gasket ‘creep’ (relaxation over time) where heavy flange loading is present.

Cork & Cork-Rubber
Cork is the outer bark of the Cork Oak tree and contains a waxy substance known as Suberin which is very effective at preventing liquid migration. Cork is available in a range of grades that are compressible, impermeable, buoyant, elastic, and fire resistant.

Cork-rubber offers the compressibility of cork with the flexibility of rubber to make an excellent sealing material with relatively high tensile strength. Cork-and-rubber cuts easily and because it is strong and flexible, it is ideal for making gaskets with narrow flanges.

Engineered Graphite
Engineered Graphite gaskets combine the positive properties of graphite and Kelvar. The material owes its excellent resistance to temperature and media to the high percentage of graphite and its high tensile strength to the Kelvar fiber used.

EPDM
EPDM is blended rubber, Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer, provides very good resistance to weathering, ozone and UV exposure. It is highly recommended for applications where the elastomer will have excessive exposure to the environment. It provides very good chemical resistance and dynamic properties. However, EPDM or EPDM blended material should not be used with oil.

Felt
Felt is used for a wide range of “spacing” situations such as seals for bearings, spacers in automotive applications, and any other situation where a cushioning effect is desired between two rigid structures. Felt washers and gaskets are also ideal for sealing out dust as well as retaining lubricants.

Fish Paper
Fish Paper is a strong, flexible, fibrous paper. It resists moderate heat and mechanical injury. Intended for electrical applications requiring high dielectric strength. Fish paper has good forming and bending qualities.

Foam
There are two types of structured foam material: open cell and closed cell. Open cell structured foams contain pores that are interconnected making the material relatively soft. Foam rubber is a type of open cell foam. Closed cell foams do not have interconnected pores. The closed cell structure foams have higher dimensional stability, low moisture absorption coefficients and higher strength.

GPO-2
Foam GPO-2 is a flame retardant, rigid fiberglass reinforced plastic material used for general purpose electrical and/or mechanical applications where low cost is desired.GPO-2 is typically used in general purpose electrical insulation applications where flame-retardant material is required. It is a cost-effective choice for use with terminal boards, control panels, switch plates, and other similar applications.

G-9
Foam G-9-is a laminate sheet comprised of flame retardant melamine resin and woven fiberglass glass substrate.

Graphite: High Pressure, High Temperature
High quality mineral graphite is expanded by exposure to very high heat, calendared into jumbo rolls, then sheeted and most often has a metal inserted or tanged metal core. Graphite-Metal gaskets have high loading capacity, natural lubricity, high chemical resistance and extremely high temperature operating range.

Lexan
Lexan is the brand name for polycarbonate plastic. It is a thermoplastic used in many applications that require high impact strength, a large temperature service range, excellent electrical properties, and dimensional stability.

Modified & Expanded PTFE’s
All purpose use in the chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, paper and food industries.

Mylar
Mylar is an extraordinarily strong polyester film with superior strength, heat resistance, and excellent insulating properties.

N8090
N-8090 is a type of beater-add composite gasketing material with very high nitrile butadiene rubber content and reinforced cellulose fiber. It has excellent oil resistance and good low flange pressure sealing characteristics. Preferred uses are; oil pans, valve covers and other semi-rigid flanges requiring good compressibility.

Neoprene
Neoprene is the brand name for the chloroprene family of synthetic rubbers. It is used in a wide variety of applications, such as in wetsuits, laptop sleeves, orthopedic braces (wrist, knee, etc.), electrical insulation, liquid and sheet applied elastomeric membranes or flashings, and car fan belts.

Nomex
Nomex is a registered trademark for flame resistant meta-aramid. The paper is used in electrical laminates such as circuit boards and transformer cores as well as fireproof honeycomb structures where it is saturated with a phenolic resin.

Non Asbestos
Non-Asbestos products are high density, high pressure gasket materials made by using multiple roll calendaring process. The balanced raw material combination of high quality aramid fibers, special fillers and binders.

Nylon
Nylon is a thermoplastic silky material. Nylon was the first commercially successful synthetic polymer. Solid nylon is used for mechanical parts such as machine screws, gears and other low to medium stress components previously cast in metal.

Plastic
Plastic is the general common term for a wide range of synthetic or semi-synthetic organic amorphous solid materials used in the manufacture of industrial products. Plastics are typically polymers of high molecular mass, and may contain other substances to improve performance and/or reduce costs.

Polyethylene
Polyethylene is a plastic material that is chemically resistant and can be very durable. It is the most widely used plastic.

Polypropylene
Polypropylene or polypropene is a thermoplastic. It is rugged and unusually resistant to many chemical solvents, bases and acids and to repetitive stress. It is the plastic most often used for lids and caps.

Polyurethane
Polyurethanes are used in high resiliency flexible foam seating, rigid foam insulation panels, microcellular foam seals and gaskets, durable elastomeric wheels and tires, automotive suspension bushings, electrical potting compounds, high performance adhesives and sealants, Spandex fibers, seals, gaskets, carpet underlay, and hard plastic parts.

Poron
PORON® is high density, flexible, microcellular urethane foam materials are manufactured by continuously casting and curing mechanically mixed formulas to the desired thickness.
Microcellular Urethane foams offer a broad range of design solutions for gasketing, sealing, vibration and sound dampening and energy absorption. Low compression set and low out gassing features makes these high performance foams ideal for applications in communications, automotive, electronic, and other industrial devices.

Shim Stock
Shims come in various configurations for precision adjustments of critical spacing applications. These configurations include arbors shims, arbor spacers, lengthening and shortening shims, rolls, & more.
